Professor John J.H. Liu

PhD in TCM Oncology; Masters in Acupuncture

Prof. Liu pursued his studies successively from Nanjing, Shanghai and Zhejiang Universities of Chinese Medicine before coming to Canada. He has more than 30 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching and research in China and Canada. He is immensely adored and respected by his patients and students for his passion and sense of responsibility for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine.


He developed the unique Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Combined Target Treatment method for the treatment of tumors and cancers. His research was funded by the highest scientific funding association in China - The Chinese National Science Foundation.


John acts as a guest professor, teaching classical TCM literature for Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. In addition to publishing more than sixty articles in peer-reviewed research journals on the topic of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, he has also contributed to many books on the subject.

Tao Jin

Professor

Prof. Tao Jin received her bachelor’s degree in acupuncture from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 1988. Since then she worked for more than 20 years in the Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. She was the chief TCM doctor, professor of Clinical WHO International Acupuncture Training Center School of Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, member of the Emergency Standing Professional Committee of the Acupuncture Association of Jiangsu Province. She is now a registered acupuncturist and a registered TCM practitioner in Ontario. From 1999 to 2001, Ms. Tao Jin was appointed by the Chinese Ministry of Health to support the European island, Malta. She was the vice-captain of the Chinese medical team and worked as the personal medical doctor for the former Prime Minister of Malta, Mr. Dominic Mintoff. From March 2007 to July 2008, she was assigned by the Jiangsu provincial government to support Yuanjiang Hospital of Xinjiang Yili as a medical expert. Her specific use of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine cured many rare and difficult diseases. She was well-admired by the local people and they described her as the “miracle-working” doctor.
